Re: 17.3.45 unknown a/c crashed near Paderborn
A few months ago I received an enquiry about a crash site in Germany that apparently was this same aircraft, asking if I could help to identify it. Without further details it was pretty impossible, but the aircraft you have identified was flown by Wg Cdr R A Mitchell DFC and Flt Lt S H Hatsell DFC who were lost on an evening intruder operation. I had been told that Mosquito wreckage etc had recently been located in a wood. Is this the same site/incident, perhaps?
