Re: Crashed plane on territory of Czechoslovakia

Hallo,

thank all for help. The source is Národní archiv Praha (National Archive Prague), fond Říšského protektora (Reichsprotektoramt file), Befehlshaber der Ordnungspolizei Ia (BdO Ia), Box 50, 83, 1212, Tages- und Morgenmeldungen May 1944 - February 1945.

In this fond are reports of local police station to BdO Ia Prag about crashes of planes (and other security things, of course) day by day. It is not such complete as Verlustmeldungen. The short descriptions of crash usually contains of date, time and place of crash, type of aircraft is maybe in three third of cases, other things as name of pilot, name of unit, WNr. are rear; in lot of cases there are Stammkennzeichen. We should know that this reports were made by local policemen and not Luftwaffen Experten, so there is lot of faults. But basically there is at least time and place of crash. The whole file is about 400 crashes plus. Some months (for example as December 44 is not complete as an other ones).

Best and once again thank you

Michal
