Re: date of some US losses
P-40's were part of 17th Pursuit Squadron (Provisional), shipped to Philippines, but convoy diverted to Australia.
Some 18 P-40's formed part of the PS. Stories here http://forum.armyairforces.com/m/tm.aspx?m=56355 and here http://www.adf-serials.com.au/research/Part3-P40.pdf Armyairforces speaks of some losses over Java, so 40-674 and 40-675 may be among them. 40-667 apparently written off after ground incident?
