many thanks for this! Great picture, too. This definitely sheds a different light on our "mystery wheel" -as the nearest Tempest crash was miles away (Feb 8, 1945; F/Lt Jones crashlanded in Hoenderloo, if i recall properly) from the farm where this wheel was found

Could it be that by late 1944, some of the Typhoons were fitted with Tempest wheels? I am by no means an expert, but perhaps someone on this forum knows..

Also hoping that the numbers on the wheel can provide somewhat of a clue !
