There is a place called Maloyaroslavets (notice the final s rather than a z) SW of Moscow. There are also two such places in Ukrain. Depending of the period one could be the one you are searching.
Go to maplandia.com and search Maloyaroslavets Trying to find places in Russia from German documents needs some luck, but replacing "z" by "s", "sch" by "ch", and sometimes "y" by "i" or the other way may help.
