Re: Help re info on ME 110

It would greatly help to ID this particular relic if you were able to determine where, on what farm, the girl from whom you bought it came from. The precise locations are known for almost all German fighter losses during the Battle of Britain, which was the only time a Bf-110 from a combat unit would have come down in Britain. If the location--farm, village, county--were known, it would be relatively easy to ID the specific aircraft, even if the girl does not know when it happened. There are regular visitors on this board who could almost instantly identify the plane to which it belonged.

Are you still able to contact her for this information?

Regards

Re: Help re info on ME 110

To all,

Thanks for the information re my little find. Regrettably, I no longer live in Switzerland and am unable to contact the lady for any more information. Any idea where I can find schematics of either the 110 or 111 to determine what type of plane this came from? I'm thinking I may be able to match rivit patterns. I believe this is from a 110, but still not sure. You all have been a great help.
