some cost info
Hello
I don't have any exact info on P-40E/P-39Q but Dean in America's Hundred Thousend (1997) writes that the unit cost of a P-39 varied from $ 51 000 to $ 72 000 and that between 13.11.40 and 21.8.41 694 Curtiss H81A-2s and -3s were produced for the UK and for the Flying Tigers - prices were from $35 876 to $36 746. William D. White in US Tactical Air Power (1974) gives the average unit cost of a P-40 as $54 000 and adds that it is appr. $200 000 in 1975 $. Not much Juha
