did you try to check if they are still alive at social security number list...
then try to locate their addresses and phone numbers at www.whitepages.com having some hints...just install skype, wait for good time (USA is different time zone  and go on that what I used to do... but be aware of the fact that some guys simply have bad memories on war (it was not a walk through garden full of roses) and just simply hang the phone or tell you that they are not interested.... sziastok...
