Frederiksberg in Denmark has a memorial to Danish train crews killed during WW2.

There is a memorial to fallen SNCF personnel on a wall opposite the Gare du Nord in Paris — you can see it from the Eurostar waiting area.

Re: Train busting

IIRC, this 1964 Burt Lancaster movie has a great scene or two of Allied fighter-bombers attacking a French train in service to the Wehrmacht taken from the train crew's perspective. Another scene is a French marshalling yard being bombed, again, from the perspective of those on the ground.

Re: Train busting

There's a monument with statue for killed Dutch train personnel in Utrecht: see http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monumen...orwegpersoneel

In Belgium there's one in the Central Station of Brussels: http://www.oorlogsmusea.nl/artikel/4...gpersoneel.htm

Re: Train busting

Hi,

thanks to all for interesting comments. Probably I used bad word what I am looking for. The question is if you know about memoir, description of the man / men who experienced the fighter attack on his train, locomotive.

Regards,
Michal

I'm afraid it is some 20 years since I visited Denmark. My memory is vague, but I think it is just outside the old city walls, in a green area.

PS I tried this as a PM but your mailbox is full

Michal: I did understand your request, but had no direct response to make. I thought the memorial worth mentioning in the context, and apologise if it has sent the thread askew.
