Hello Jim,
There are several other known photos of 7./JG 26 D-9s with numbers on the lower landing gear goors. One of the best known is "Brown 4" W.Nr.500647 with a Ta 152 tail. Another one is "Brown 18" flown by Lt. Günter Seyd photographed at Schleswig next to the "Brown 2" in question. Hope this helps. Cheers, Jerry
