Hello Matti,
My attention was drawn to the name of Zappe: I have a Hans Zappe (former pilot of I./NJG 2, see Rökker's chronic of the I./NJG 2) who committed suicide in Venlo in July 1943 when posted to the I./NJG 1. In order to check whether they were related, could you provide any details of Gerhard Zappe's birthday/birthplace and perhaps his "Heimat Anschrift" often seen on the NVM ? Many thanks in advance and of course I let you know if there is a match with 'my' Zappe in Venlo, Marcel / Venlo
