Re: IIWW films with LW aircrafts.
First film: shows Fw 190 D plane - at min. 1.35 a RV Yellow/red band. It is a pity this film is not shown in lager resolution, But what a find!
and perhaps a Ta 152 --> JG300??? = Pure conjecture as that RV is to be confirmed of course. As I am not used to upload stills of it, perhaps someone could complete it.

Re: IIWW films with LW aircrafts.
Salut Philippe!
IMHO, Yellow/Red tailband is a give away for JG 301... which operated Ta 152 H's... Cheers Marc |

Re: IIWW films with LW aircrafts.
IIRC these three Doras are shown in one of Jerry Crandall’s Fw 190D-9 books and are from JG 2 and not JG 301.
The middle Dora is burned and I guess that the front yellow band is destroyed from the fire. |

Re: IIWW films with LW aircrafts.
Marc,
Of course you are completely right! I suppose I was too exited when I wrote my first mail! JG 301 has red/yellow fuselage bands. Micke, I'll look it after, but if we agree a Ta 152 is shown on the film, I tend to follow Marc and more accept JG 301 instead of JG 2: I cannot remember JG 2 had Ta 152, exept our ever returning mystery bird WNr 500645, which is said to be a Ta tailed Fw 190 D ... Anyway, still nice find....

Re: IIWW films with LW aircrafts.
I still insist that this is a burned out Fw 190D-9 with parts of the RV bands looking like yellow/red instead of yellow/white/yellow. I would say that everything else is just wishful thinking. ;o)
But on the other hand, I would also like to see a Ta 152H from JG 2. I have read somewhere that the few remaining Ta 152s of JG 301 was going to be transferred to JG 11 but I don’t know if that is true or if it ever happened before the war ended. |

Re: IIWW films with LW aircrafts.
From what I can tell, it is a Dora and not the Ta. The Ta changed to a hydraulic landing gear and had a straight piston retraction cylinder, not the folding drag link connected to an electric motor in all other Fw-190 models. This image appears to be a drag link. The hydraulic on the Ta landing gear was connected up higher on the strut also.
