Dear Laurent,
thank you for this link. Some weeks ago we were on holidays on the beautiful island of Ischia (near Naples) at Lacco Ameno. High above the town there is the cemetery, from where you have a nice view to the landscape and sea. By accident I had a look at a gravestone with a photo of a young man in uniform and the following text: " Nello Calise, Serg. Magg. Pilota. 28 Ottobre 1919 - 10 Marzo 1941".." Prode Cavaliere Aiato. Durissimo Eroe Dell`Aria....." ( made some photographs ). I found his name also at the online database you mention: Nome:ANIELLOCognome:CALISEData di Nascita:28/10/1919Luogo di Nascita:LACCO AMENOLuogo Sepoltura:LACCO AMENO - CIMITERO COMUNALEData Decesso:10/3/1941Luogo Decesso:- The name CALISE is a prominent one there around. So we drank red wine called CALISE. Does someone know more about Aniello and his fate? Karl
