Loss in Prien is not a clue so far.
And Evreux was in JG 3 range end of May, early June.

Re: Help to identify this crash landed Me-109 please

Hi Franck,

and how many photos you have seen of 5./JG2? One, two, three? I have a photo of 5./JG2 "black 6", which confirms the shape of the number.
So far no loss for II./JG3 at Evreux. Give us some facts Franks not assumptions.

Robert

Hi Robert,

None of course .!!!!

Come on Robert, you know perfectly that loss lists are far to be complete, that many need to be corrected some times and that a writing on back of a picture is to be taken with care too. (And if we take Jet & Prop caption - January - for good we have a problem!!!)

I just said my best guess is JG 3 for the same reason wrote by JimP.
Why you didn't interpellate Jim too and for the same reason??

Now, if you want it TO BE JG 2, it's up to you; but I'll stay with my guess WITHOUT writing JG 3 on my captions until further notice.

Best regards, Franck.
