Manfred Boehme's JG 7 p102 :
Clausen got trouble on a test flight, coming back trailing flames from both engines, he was lost on final at Brandeburg-Briest : "At an altitude of about 150 meters the left wing separated and the aircraft spun down in flames. Clausen was killed in the crash" The other loss for the day is the Me 262 of Georg-Peter Eder (Staka 9.JG 7) south of Bremen (4-mot defensive fire). Strangely in Appendix A JG 7 pilots whe have : Eden (sic), Georg-Peter Major wounded 16.2.45 Klausen (re-sic), Hans Ofw. † 17.2.45 |
