Re: The last victory of Marseille on 26.09.42?
No British losses have been found that can be linked to this afternoon combat, in which he claimed 3 Spitfires. Flt. Sgt Barker of 145 Sq claimed one Bf109 damaged in this combat.
In the morning he also claimed three Spitfires: British losses were one Hurricane of 213 Sq and two Spitfires of 92 Sq. Source:Christopher Shores et al: A History of the Mediterranean Air War 1940-1945 Volume 2, Grub Street 2012.
