Re: Bf 109 E Stammkennzeichen

The Bf 109 E-3, W.Nr. 1361, was one of a batch of mostly E-3s with a few E-4s built by Erla late in 1939 and into 1940. After it was selected for modification, it became the V26, and participated in various extended range fighter-bomber tests associated with the new E-7. I understand it was written-off following a crash sometime in August 1940.
