Hello Win,
Could find nothing for the 30th However the29th The 353rdFG lost two P47's. One was lost as a result of attacking an enemy airfield, one of the aircraft the target on the ground exploded. The pilot Captain William D. Smith was buried on the 30th Perhaps this is the e/a that you mention ? On the 30th 8thAAF had only P51 who it seems made no claims. Alex
