Re: 1692 Flight 15 Feb 1944 friendly fire incident
Brian,
My records say 1692 Flight in Feb 1944 was a Bomber Support Training Flight still based at Little Snoring and was used to train Mosquito crews for 100 Group on Serrate. As above it flew Beaufighters and Mosquitos, and a least one Defiant, one Wellington, Anson and Hurricane and used the codes 4X. Are you still trying to find the aircraft type involved? Presumably Cook as RO didn't have to bail out and the pilot was able to land?
