Re: Information concerning loss of Uffz. Ludwig Stens - lost 18.12.1944
Rick I read as follows - The fallen loved one was born on the 5.March 1922 in Bochum. In 1940 he went to the Luftwaffe as a volunteer and took part in operations in the east, south and west. he died on the 18 December 1944 in the reserve hospital in Burgsteinfurt, 15 hours after the crash on an enemy flight, shortly before his wedding . At the cemetery of honor he found with his comrades the final rest.
The Grave search site states his grave is at the military Cemetery in Steinfurt-Burgsteinfurt - Kath block 0, row 5 grave 54. I cannot find his loss details on what i have, Regards Brian Bines
