Re: RAF DAKOTA losses Market Garden

Hello,

No idea if this is the aircraft you mention, but some of the details match up:

Dakota III FZ656 (42-92417)

Crash landed Turnhout, Belgium,

Crew:

J/20134 F/O (Pilot) Robert Allen KENNY RCAF - PoW
AUS409908 W/O (2nd Pilot) Ronald Edgar ENGLISH RAAF - PoW
1607215 Sgt (Nav.) Louis EVANS RAFVR - PoW
J/87683 P/O (W.Op.) Alfred H. MacALONEY RCAF - PoW

Despathchers:

Driver W. T. EVANS, 799 Airborne RASC - PoW
Driver ? JENSEN, 799 Airborne RASC - PoW
Driver ? JORDAN, 799 Airborne RASC - PoW

Maybe someone can add a bit more detail to the above.

Col.
