Here are the performance statistics as taken from Monogram Close-Up 6 Gustav Messerschmitt 109G Parts 1 and 2 by Thomas H. Hitchcock. The figures are taken from the General Luftzeugmeisters/C-E2 13 August and 1 November 1944.
Bf 109G-6/AS: Max combat speed at ground level: 310 mph Max combat speed at max altitude: 402 mph @ 28,871 ft Max emergency speed at ground level: 322 mph Max emergency speed at max altitutde: 402 @ 29,528 ft Bf 109G-14/AS: Max combat speed at ground level: 294 mph Max combat speed at max altitude: 387 mph Max emergency speed at ground level: 336 mph Max emergency speed at max altitude: 408 @ 24,606 |

Excuse me being picky, but should the reference "at max. altitude" in the last posting really refer to the full throttle height, rather than the aircraft ceiling? The less-technically aware reader may get confused by poor terminology (I certainly do!).
