Re: September 1944 Frantic Mission
Peter, this is the 20FG line-up for Mission nos. 176 / 177 led by Col. Rau.
Take-off 0948. On flight out... Lt. Tennant (55th) shot down by flak, bailed out in Russian lines. Lt. Mansker (55th) landed at Russian base. Lt. Horst (79th) crash-landed Poland. On return flight...... Lt. Taylor (79th) returned to Italy. Lt. Kuemmerle (77th) landed in France. * = early returns..................................
