Leutnant Heinz Pfeiffer of 1./JG104

Hi

Leutnant Heinz Pfeiffer was a training instructor with 1./JG104 until 29.01.1945

He then becomes a fighter-pilot flying Bf109's in the regions of Gorlitz and Dresden, but what was his unit? His Kommandeaur's name I cannot read, but looks like Pecker or Lecker, but isn't Becker.

He claims Jak-9's on 16th and 24th April 1945, ends up in Prag/Prague at the wars end.

Can anybody please tell me this pilots unit.

Keep well

Johannes

Johannes

How about Georg Seckel commander of III.(Erg) JG 1, they claimed four Yaks on the 16th, I have no idea what they did on the 24th.

Re: Leutnant Heinz Pfeiffer of 1./JG104

Many thanks Russell

Lots of claims during 1945 for EJG1, but previously only two names 2 x Hoffmann, so this helps fill in the gaps.

I wonder if Seckel claimed some!

Kind Regards

Johannes

Hi John

Only reason I have called him Heinz, is that the WEtransfer I received with his flugbuch was titled "Heinz Pfeiffer.....no real proof

Kind Regards

Re: Leutnant Heinz Pfeiffer of 1./JG104

Hi

Flugbuch starts 05.02.1944, he was an instructor at the time, but there is no reason why he should not have previously flown combat with JG3. Often if a pilot is seriously wounded he will do a long period as a training instructor, and it seems that there came a time when it was pointless training anymore, so instructors were posted for combat.

Kind Regards

Johannes
