I have no issue with any price paid on e-bay, I was just highlighting this one, as two people used a very high bid late on.

This is the first Bf 109 E-7 I have seen of III./ZG 1 (S9+CS) which has part of the unit code overpainted with the 'Jabo' emblem used by other 109 units in the Med area. Whether this aircraft was transferred to one of those units when III./ZG 1 was disbanded, I know not. But that emblem on a III./ZG 1 109 is rather rare.
