WWII fighter pilot and aviation legend, C.E. Bud Anderson has flown west, at 102 years old. A Triple Ace who flew the P-51 Mustang "Old Crow," while assigned to the 357th Fighter Group “Yoxford Boys,” 8th Air Force, Leiston Field, United Kingdom. Bud was the leading Ace of the 363rd Fighter Squadron with 16 1/4 victories. His military career extended into Korea and Vietnam, and after retiring, he became the manager of the McDonnell Aircraft Company's Flight Test Facility at Edwards AFB. During his career, he flew over 100 types of aircraft and logged over 7,500 hours. Bud appeared at many air shows and gatherings, sharing his aviation experiences with young and old, even as recent as last summer.
