Losses E-Stelle Rechlin 21.05.1944

Hello,

Who can help.... on 21.05.1944 two Losses occured in the same Area around the City of Minden (Westfalia). The first one was a Dornier Do-17Z 2517 GL+AY, three Crewmember died on Impact with the Hill near Haddenhausen / Minden.

The second Loss was Heinkel He 111 H-6 4093 KI+XA, all five Crewmember died in this accident, crashing also in the Hill near Kleinenbremen / Minden.

The crashes most likely occurred due to bad weather / flight into terrain.

I`m looking especially for the NVM`s .... the GQM`s are present....

Thanks in advance for your help !!!

Best Regards streak98

I have the NVM. Happy to send it to you if you PM me with your e-mail address.

Is there a particular reason why you're after this?

Re: Losses E-Stelle Rechlin 21.05.1944

Hello Matti and Steve,

Thanks again for your help in this case... I`ve investigate the first Loss (Heinkel He 111 H-6) in the year 2015 after contact to an time-eyewitness in Kleinenbremen. Due to his memory, it was possible to find the exact crashsite of the "Heimann Crew."
Last week after telephonme call with local historian in Haddenhausen, we try to find out more about this Loss from the Donrier Do-17Z. The exact crashsite is not 100% established... but looking for more Documents / Reports in the village of Haddenhausen next time...

Thanks again for all....

Dirk

Thanks. The NVM is on its way to you. My information is that Mann's Do 17 came into contact with the treetops and crashed in the Wiehen Hills which doesn't massively narrow things down for you.

Steve
