I know some things but not everything. My primary area of interest is the European Theater.

Stig. There were some famous people involved in Hump Operations.
Gene Autry (C-109 pilot ATC)
Ernest K. Gann ( ATC pilot)
Robert McNamara (logistics)
Merian C. Cooper (liason)
Barry Goldwater (pilot-instructor)

Just curious Nick what your source is?

I have a photo of an F-5A with digits 319 on the cowling which was stated to be 42-13319
Listed as belonging to 13PRS.
No name at all on the nose

Cheers

Re: Allied aircraft photos

Hi Stig. It's listed on Peter's "Little Friends" site; when the 14PS converted to Spitfires in mid-44 some F-5s went to the 13th. BUT according to Baugher's site 42-13319 was with 3PRG in Italy and MACR 2400 says lost there on 14 Feb. 44.

Re: Allied aircraft photos

Thanks Nick

Seems I have lost your e-mail
If you still have mine, can you drop me a line and I will attach the photo for your judgement.
A rather indifferent background. Could be Italy I guess....

Cheers
Stig
