Interview with Horst Petzschler
Hi guys
I hope all of you are doing well. I recently noticed a two part interview with 26-victory ace Oberfeldwebel Horst Petzschler of JG 51 and JG 3 posted on YouTube. It's a bit lengthy at nearly two hours but well worth watching. I might also mention that the same channel has an interview with a gentleman who was the center of some controversy some time ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EM_HujeBmrc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VhZ5aZ7c08g Horrido! Hi Edward
Born on 1st September 1921 as far as I know he's still alive. Don't know what he did after the war, but POW until 22nd September 1949. Twenty-two confirmed claims four unconfirmed. Regards Johannes |

Re: Interview with Horst Petzschler
Jerry Crandall had him at 1 or 2 IPMS USA Nationals in the 1990s, I think. At the time Horst was living in the US. I think he may have been a vehicle mechanic. He had a younger wife and 1 or 2 children with him.

After the war Horst emigrated to Canada and then the U.S.A.
He was a tool fitter/engineer for Mcdonnell Douglas and Lockheed. He was married 3 times and had 4 children. He lived in Wichita, Kansas and died May 16th 2011/
