Re: Fate of 4 FFAF Airmen ?
Thanks Luc,
As far as I can find it only says they were killed in an air crash, no details of aircraft type . Great sight though as it seems to give full Christian names, Alex |

Re: Fate of 4 FFAF Airmen ?
From the book "Aviateurs de la Liberte"(Col Henri Lafont)
April 22,1942 for Bergert, Pierre and Laffoux, Edmond. Both were killed on a training flight by kilometer 26 , on the route to Boali, a subdivision of Bimbo in Central Africa Avril 22, 1942- For Pierre Dessa and Jacques Guignes de Moreton de Chabrillan it has the following information: After takeoff from Dames in Syria on a liaison flight to Beirut all were killed in a crash by Masnah near Lybia. They were flying a Potez 63, s/n 649. In addition to the two mentioned there was also another victim, Sgt Jean Marie Nevraumont, who was the pilot. I can send a file with information from the book. Obviously, it's in French. By the way, if you can find this book, buy it. It has information on most of the French pilots killed in WWII |
