Peischl's victim might have been the P-51B-10 43-7181 of 335th FS, 4th FG that was shot down by a fighter near Hoher Meissner, roughly midway between Eisenach and Kassel. Capt Charles F Anderson, an ace with 10 victories, was killed. The MACR is listing him as lost in Brussels area but it seems it is only based on a witness who thought he saw and heard him in this location.

Source for Brussels is in the MACR page 4:
"Between Brussels and the coast a voice on the R/T said, "Hey Andy, there are two smoke trails at 12:00 o'clock, high." The person who I
presumed to be Lt. Anderson, replied, "They look like friends but watch them". I orbited to try to find and join them. I did not see them nor did I see any other smoke trails in the sky. This took place at approximately 1120 or 1125 hours."
Anderson was KIA at that time.
