Captured JG 54 Fw 190 A-4
Hello Menu
At http://www.airpages.ru/cgi-bin/epg2....imgfw190a4_lad there is a nice photograph of this aircraft once in Russian hands. The photograph was most likely taken shortly after capture or at the very least before repair as underbelly damage is visible due to the forced landing. I have read that this was the first Fw 190 captured by the Russians and that later the German insignias and unit emblems were overpainted and Red Stars added. If the video is of the same fighter then it was taken sometime between these two steps. Hopefully some one else can add somewhat more to this. Horrido! Leo |
