How Many Luftwaffe Fighter Pilots?
Hello Philippe
Unfortunately I do not know the number of Luftwaffe fighter pilots that served but according to the Gemeinschaft der Jagdflieger in regards to day fighter pilots a total of 8,500 were killed, 2,700 were listed as missing or prisoner of war and 9,100 were injured. Please note that these are totals for day fighter pilots only and do not include night fighter pilots nor ground attack pilots. I hope that this information helps you for what it is worth. Horrido!
