Re: Japanese captured P40s, is that a B17

According to "Fortress of the Skies" by Martin Bowman and William N Ness the Japanese captured 3 B17s. From the look of the nose on your photo I think it might B17D,40-3095, damaged at Clark Field on 8/12/41 and abandoned. The Japanese repaired and flew it along with another B17D and an early B17E
