Re: Two P-47 losses in march 1945
Hello Heuser.
2nd Lt. Percy Forman. KIA on 11th March '45 during a dive bombing mission against a railway bridge at Blickweiler, Germany. He crashed into the side of a hill after failing to pull out of a dive. Forman was buried near to the crash site. I don't have details of his aircraft i'm afraid. 1st Lt. Bernard Wallace. KIA on 18th March '45 whilst leading his flight. He was attacking locomotives in a marshalling yard near Homburg, Germany when his aircraft was hit by flak. He was buried at the village cemetary of Bruchhof in a common grave with other allied dead. Again I don't have aircraft details. Hope this helps.......Steve. |
