Many thanks for your post. I was not aware that he was wounded when shot down on 2 July 1944 so your information was very nice to have. I did read that he was shot down as well on 31 May 1942 and temporarily listed as missing in action but am rather confused if this was a separate incident or the same as the 21 May 1942 occasion only that the date was somehow mixed up? If this was a seperate incident would someone know which fighter he was flying that day? I am very grateful for your help. Horrido! Leo
