Hello!

I would like to built a model of this aircraft.

I would like your opinion about the nose. Is it yellow?

Thank You
Christian

Looks like standard overall 02 grey to me. I presume that is exhaust stain on the leading edge of the wheel cover.

Re: Ar 96 colour sceme!

Hi, Christian...

I'm inclined to agree that this is probably an overall RLM02 colour scheme. However, if you're looking for something a little more eye-catching, the attached can be found at http://wp.scn.ru/, under World War II 'Others' category. Select 'Arado Ar96' from the list on the left side and you'll be shown a nationalitly list of all the Ar96 users, and on the right side, click on the page number to access the individual colour plates.

Thumbnail shows a machine apparently based (or seen) at Tilsit-Weinhofen, 1944.

Regards...

Re: Ar 96 colour sceme!

Hello!
Thank You both for your help!
The pilot of this A/C was not quite sure but believed too, that it was grau overall except the underside, which was RLM 65 lightblue.
A friend has told me, that this one was coded DC + XL, so now i am building it to give the pilot as a present.

Best wishes

Christian
