Hello Robert,
Small correction to the info posted by bigvern1966 above: the place name is OEGSTGEEST. Can't blame anyone, Dutch names can be confusing in writing down. Apart from that the claim was made at 15.22 hrs. Other matching losses: 04.07.40 Blenheim L8866 18 Sqdn 16.07.40 Blenheim P6933 18 Sqdn 18.07.40 Blenheim R3661 53 Sqdn 20.07.40 Blenheim R3738 110 Sqdn 30.07.40 Blenheim R3764 15 Sqdn 01.08.40 Blenheim R3898 114 Sqdn (Eckerle's claim) 02.08.40 Blenheim attacked but escaped, identity unknown and not found in The National Archives, London.
