I traded information with Mr. Baeker a number of years ago - I think he used to be a member of Ruy's original board. He was able to provide updates to a few machines from Gen.Qu. losses. He said he was looking to do some type of chronicle of his old unit.
Ju 88A-5, 3228, Baeker, Oblt. Gerhard, , Stab III., KG 1, , V4+DD, PI+HD, , 28-Jun-41, T.O. Left engine damaged due to Flak during sortie to Birzai-Riga. Difficult return due to bad weather. Right engine 'ruined'., , Lfl.1/Eins.Osten, Gen.Qu.6.Abt. (mfm #3)-Vol.5; Gerhard Baeker via e-mail, , Fl.Pl. Schaulen, 70%, F, , , Henschel Flzg.Werke Schönefeld in Sep-40.
