Squadrons had official photographers. What happened to the images after the war?
Just wondering what on earth happened to all the images taken by the official squadron photographer's after the war.
I understand some were 'liberated' by pilots, but most ended up in crates and shipped back to the US....never to be seen again? Is there any starting point to be able to track down any of these images that hopefully will not be lost forever? Of particular interest to me is the 325th FG, but where would the photos taken by the USAAF possibly be located? Thanks for any advice, cheers, MP. |
