The details on the plate are :

Gerat-Nr 9-6101.40
Werk-Nr 3909
Hersteller aus
------------
fur motor Jumo 211 (F-possible, not sure)
ln Ju88 A4
Kuhlstoff Wasser
Nachprufdr 2.5 atu
Ventileinst (blank)
Abnahme stamped BA2240 and OK
As my knowledge of German is non existent, can anyone help me with the meaning of each section as well as any assistance with the ID of the aircraft.
Having established it's ID, where would I go to find some history on it. I believe, although not confirmed, that it may have been lost in the Murmansk area.
Thanks - as always - for your help.

Hi Gaham,
I have an idetical data plate as probably yours. I bought mine in Murmansk when I was flying out in a helicopter looking at crahed aircraft. It would beinteesting to know if the data plte is original or if the russians have started to manufactur false ones to get some cash. Could you send me youremailadress and then w can scan in the plates and look if they are identical.
Where did you et yours?
Best regards
