Re: Fatal accident in Corfu

hello JoMe,

In the book of Peter Taghon are`nt any Code letters of this plane refered. Besides we don`t have here a code in form of L1+...P as usual by 6./LG1. What is your source about it?

Re: Fatal accident in Corfu

Hallo

My source is the flight-log of the ATG-pilot Rolf Baltabol. He makes the acceptance-flight with Ju 88 A-5 / 5277 / BC + IZ on 12. May 1941 in Leipzig.

best wishes
JoMe

Re: Fatal accident in Corfu

thanks JoMe,

Maybe, this strange code (BC+IZ) for a plane of LG 1 could be an older one, bevor they got the L1+... codes.

best regards

Byron

Re: Fatal accident in Corfu

Funny thread,

BC+IZ is the Stammkennzeichen of the aircraft, L1+.. is a Verbandskennzeichen.

Peter
