Am I correct in assuming that the name Jase found in Mason's book should be spelled Haase? Or are they two different people?

Morning to all,
I don't have Masons book, but looking through Prien's first volume about the story of JG 54 I can find a Oblt. Julius Haase as St.Kap. of 3./JG 53. He was shot down during an air battle on 15/9/40 and crashed near Biggin Hill. I. and II./JG 53 flew a close escort mission for bombers to London. Oblt. Haase jumped from his stricken 109E, but his chute failed to open. There is no mention of a pilot called Jase. Kind Regards, Dirk
