Nachtjagdschwarm II/KG 53

Apparently this Gruppe, probably just 6 Staffel, operated their He 111s at night in 1942 and shot down in the region of 11 Soviet aircraft. For example, Lt Heinz Zoellner flew such a mission from Sechtschinskaja 2305-0400 hrs 15/17 May 42 and on this night, Uffz Georg Mistler claimed a TB3 at 2210 hrs-both were 6/KG 53. The only other references I can find is an Ofw Waldemar Teige (+3 Oct 42 and awarded RK for his bombing & night fighting) and a Fw Bauer claiming at TB3 2255 hrs 29 May 42. Can anyone add any more details?

You can find a portrait story about Teige with lots of informations
and details in an older LIF issue and some more photos in one of
the last issues.

Any chance of a scan-I have photos of Teige but am just trying to find out more about why they did it and what happened?

It was in edition 5. Maybe you can try to get an original,
I think you still can find some in book shops or at ebay.
I have some photos too, his graveyard ceremony, cushion
with his medals and so on.
