German 'seaplane' lost 21/5/41 Crete??
Hi guys
Reading a book (Crete 1941 Eyewitnessed) about the invasion of Crete, I came across a first-hand account written by a Cretan soldier who claimed shooting down a 'hydroplane' with a machine-gun, at about 7.30 hours (am/pm?) on 21 May. He wrote ".... the plane lost its balance and plunged into the shallow waters near the beach at Perivolia ....." Any ideas? Cheers Brian
