S/L Edward Rowland Thorn, DFC*, DFM* accident

Good night to all!
On the 12th ( or 14th depend on the source ) February 1946, S/L Thorn, DFC, DFM a former Defiant ace from 264 Squadron was killed in a flying accident.
I tried to find if it was on a BOMBER Command machine but it seems NO.
Could someone give me more details of the accident ( type of accident ) and machine he was flying on the day he passed away? ( serial number and codes would be welcomed too ).
Yours

Adriano,

Interestingly, Edward Roland Thorn is also mentioned on the CWGC website. He's buried at the Bishop's Waltham (St. Peter) Churchyard.

Regards,

Leendert

Thanks Leendert,
IŽve checked there before posting my thread here. Then I tried to find if he was flying a Bomber Command machine, but got no joy. So, I thought it could be a night-fighter ( Fighter Command ) aircraft ( maybe a NF 36 Mosquito )...thankfully Henk helped me to match the loss and cause of accident.
But thanks a lot Leendert!
Am very grateful to those who answered and helped!
Yours
Adriano
