While clicking on your bond, I reach the site well… but unfortunately I cannot reach the photograph!!!

About which Bf 109 K-4 is it?

Re: BF109K-4 photo on ebay

Off the top of my head, I can't say where this photo is published. However, I have seen it before. There are a number of other photos of this aircraft published in JaPo Messerschmitt Bf 109s of JG 52 in Deutsch Brod. This includes photos and color side profiles.

This is Bf 109 K-4 W.Nr 335(?)XXX "<<", Stab III./JG 52 according to JaPo. Pilot Hptm. Adolf Borchers.

It was published in M.F.Somerau book - Bf 109 Recognition Manual.
Very interesting and unknown to me another K-4 photo was on E-Bay some days ago

Re: BF109K-4 photo on ebay

This Ebay photo of the Bf 109K-4 is interesting to me; it's only the second '109K-4 photo I've seen that clearly shows both the wheel covers for the main landing gear and the doors for the retractable tailwheel. I'll have to check out the recognition manual.

Thanks,
Kenneth

I have to agree with Kuba. This book by JaPo is filled with photos on the 109 K and has great side profiles. A great source of references for anyone interersted in the "K". Of course, JaPo also did an earlier book on the 109 K as well that you may be able to find, though it is out of print now.

There are quite a few others in the Japo book and other places, appearantly the wheel well covers were absent from early use a/c (production? mud problems?), but fairly common on later ones.
