1st Air Commando
In his book (Air Commando Fighters of WWII), Edward Young states that on 14th February 1944 two pilots were lost: Captain John Miller (who bailed out to become POW) and Lt Carl Hertzer (MIA).
However, I've not been able to put a hand on a MACR regarding those pilots and R. D. Wagner (Any Place, Any Time, Any Where - Schiffer) makes no mention of these losses. Any clue? Thanks in advance. Chris |
