Uffz. Hermann Melzer, 10.05.1941

Uffz. Hermann Melzer, born: 20.01.1920 at Trebicho. Died 10.05.1941 at Admannshagen/Rostock. Can anyone confirm if he belonged to 8/JG26, and how he died, as I have no aircraft loss for 8/JG26 on this date.
My source is the Kriegsgräberfursorge.

From J.G.26 by Josef Priller, Uffz. Hermann Melzer definitely belonged to 8/JG26 and was killed in an accident. But the book still doesn't say how he died.

Thank you Chris. I don't know why this loss is not recorded in the Luftwaffe Loss Returns. Do you know the Werk.nr of this Bf109F-2?

It was listed in the Gen.Qu.6.Abt. losses, but with no detail other than what Chris already reported. Probably because it was listed for the Arado-Werke.
