Question for Chris Goss
Hi Chris,
I've just finished reading your excellent book 'Dornier 17 In Focus'. Another exceptional book with excellent photographs, which will proudly sit with all my other Luftwaffe books (an ever growing collection!). My question is, on page 40, in the caption for the bottom photo, you say "Oblt. Dietrich Marwitz of III/KG3 in the cockpit of his Do 17Z, early in the Polish campaign. Marwitz would be lost in action flying with 8/KG30 on 27 Oct 40." I have checked my records, and have found no loss for Marwitz on this date or anywhere between June 1940 - June 1941. Can you kindly let me know more about the loss of Marwitz and his crew? Kind regards, and once again, thank you for all your help Steve
